Fillings

One of the most common treatments in dental practice is filling teeth. We only use white fillings! There can be several reasons for filling teeth and molars..

Caries

Caries refers to tooth decay, commonly known as a cavity. Caries is caused by a bacterium called Streptococcus mutans, which is present in dental plaque. If you do not maintain proper oral hygiene and consume a lot of sugar and carbohydrates, you are more likely to develop caries.

We treat caries by removing the affected part of the tooth and then filling it with a tooth-colored filling.

Secondary caries
Another term for secondary caries is a leaking filling. Sometimes a cavity can develop beneath an existing filling. In this case, we remove the old filling, clean the infected tooth tissue, and refill the tooth.

Tooth damage

Whenever hard surfaces rub against each other, wear occurs and the same applies in the mouth. Tooth wear does not always require treatment, but if we see that the wear is progressing rapidly or is already in an advanced stage, we can treat it by restoring the worn tooth structure with composite (tooth-colored filling material).

Cosmetic

If you are unhappy with the shape of your teeth or find a gap bothersome, in many cases we can make a small change using a tooth-colored filling, which can have a big impact.

Replacing silver fillings

Do you still have old amalgam fillings that are noticeable when you smile? We can replace them with tooth-colored fillings.
