Braces

Are your teeth crooked, and would you like to straighten them? That’s possible! We offer various types of orthodontic treatments for both children and adults. In fact, you are never too old for braces; however, it is important that your teeth and gums are healthy before starting any orthodontic treatment.

How does it work?

Teeth are anchored in the jawbone, but there are small fibers between the bone and the tooth called the periodontal ligament. These fibers allow the teeth to make very small movements. By applying constant pressure in a specific direction, teeth can gradually and permanently be moved through the bone. With braces, we apply controlled pressure to the teeth, guiding them to move in the desired direction.

Bracket braces

With bracket braces, metal brackets are attached to the teeth and a special wire runs through them. This wire applies pressure on the teeth, causing them to move. By using different wires and techniques, we can guide the teeth to the desired positions.

Aligners

Aligners are special clear braces for adults. Instead of a traditional metal bracket braces, it is sometimes possible to wear a clear aligner. An aligner is a transparent orthodontic appliance made of plastic. It is thin, see-through, and removable. Using a computer simulation, a series of clear trays is created to gradually straighten the teeth and molars. Each week, you change the tray at home to the next one in the series.
