Our dental practice has been a trusted name in Curaçao for over 40 years. In 1980, dentist Eric de Brabander founded the practice. At that time, there were no dentists in Otrobanda, a densely populated district. He found a historic building that had previously served as an internal medicine practice and renovated it thoroughly.
From 1984, de Brabander worked at the Eastman Dental Center, Rochester University in New York, specializing in implantology and orthodontics. During his time at the university, colleague dentist Jan Schipper managed the practice until dentist Leo Wolters joined Eric, and in 1987 they formed a partnership. The practice gradually grew, adding dental hygienists and multiple assistants.
Hans Kelderman, an orthodontist from the Netherlands, and Frank Abbas, a periodontology lecturer at the University of Groningen, took over leadership of their respective specialties. Dentist Jeffrey Alberga joined our practice in 2015 and specialized in implantology after the passing of Dr. Wolters. Today, the practice has 20 staff members, including dental hygienists, and works closely with specialists from abroad.
